Negi engages Evangeline in combat utilizing his recently acquired abilities. Chachamaru intervenes to stop Negi from securing a victory. Recognizing that Negi cannot succeed alone, Chamo summons Asuna to the battlefield. Because her Probationary Contract has expired, she and Negi kiss to establish a permanent partner contract. With Asuna now fighting alongside him, Negi is able to defeat Evangeline.
