Kentaro invites Kyoko and Godai to his school sports day to substitute for his parents, explaining that his father works excessively long hours and that he worries his mother might embarrass him through drunken behavior. However, Mrs. Ichinose overhears this conversation. She surprises Kentaro by revealing that his father has taken a day off work and that she is currently sober, contradicting his expectations regarding their attendance and behavior at the event.
