A mysterious force known as "Beatrice" manifests in the real world and responds to human will. The Tokyo Beatrice University Attached High School is the only institution that teaches this phenomenon, referred to as "magic." Yoshimura Mamoru, a high school student who was once saved by Beatrice as a child, encounters Takasu Ayako on his first day. She is a second-year student, one year his senior, and serves as a director of the student discipline committee. The granddaughter of a prominent politician, Ayako is both beautiful and highly skilled in Beatrice, capable of feats such as shooting down a satellite. She is known by titles like Witch Beatrice or Death Angel, though she is described as having a kind heart.
