In the Magic Realm, magic is an integral part of daily life for all inhabitants. However, Mash, a boy living in a forest with his father-figure Regro, lacks the magical mark present on everyone else’s face. Because he cannot use magic, he is frequently warned to stay away from towns. One day, while Regro is absent, Mash decides to venture into town to purchase his favorite cream puffs, risking exposure in a society where magic is the norm.
