McDull: Xiang Dang Dang

Archaeologists uncover a poorly crafted artifact during a study before a region is set to be flooded by the Three Gorges Dam. They determine it was created by Mak-zi, an ancient Chinese inventor known for developing numerous items that were ahead of his era, such as devices resembling modern electronics. Due to its low quality, the artifact is rejected by all museums in China and internationally. Rather than being destroyed, it is placed on a barge and floats continuously along the Yangtze River. The narrative shifts to a descendant of Mak-zi, 18 generations later—McDull, a kindergarten student residing in Hong Kong.
