Sawaguri complies with requests to photograph Miku’s autographed books while authorities miss a sniping opportunity after Ran closes the curtain. Miku’s blog identifies her last three visitors as an elephant, a fox, and a rat. Conan deduces these refer to Sumika Nihei, whose husband’s seal designs resemble elephant tusks; Shinobu Yuchi, whose bakery food resembles a fox’s coat; and Tamami Mitsui, a stonemason with a gray coat like a rat. Upon realizing the connection, Sawaguri prepares to kill Mitsui.
