Ep. 881: The Magician of the Waves Part One Flashback to Ten Years Ago

Conan recalls events from ten years ago, specifically episodes 878-879, where young Shinichi first meets the Akai family at the beach. Young Sera encounters her brother Akai Shuichi, who is arguing with his mother Mary about joining the FBI to investigate his father’s case. Shinichi mistakes Akai’s eye injury for circus pierrot makeup, but after the misunderstanding is cleared, he introduces himself as Sherlock Holmes’s apprentice. Shinichi, Ran, and Sera meet for the first time during this encounter. The group witnesses a car plunge off a cliff and sink into the ocean.
