Ayano recalls meeting Kido, Seto, and Kano, who felt like monsters due to their red eyes. She comforted them by calling red the color of heroes and showed them a picture book while wearing a red scarf. After her mother died in an accident, Ayano resolved to be a good big sister to her new siblings. Later, she discovered her father planning an experiment on her friends Takane and Haruka. Devastated by this discovery, she attempted to save them by committing suicide, which caused her to enter the Heat Haze. This narrative explains the origins of her beliefs and her connection to the phenomenon.
