During the Mermaid Princess Lucia's rite of passage, the antagonist Gaito, who resembles Kaito, and his minions crash in to kidnap Lucia and steal her pearl. Momo drags Kaito to Lucia's palace. The sea goddess Aqua Regina appears, gives Lucia a new song, and tells her that she must summon her quickly in order to save the Marine World.
