Chaos and a storm dominate the insect garden as Maya and Willie take refuge in a cave. During their stay, they encounter a stinkbug and listen to the tragic tale of a daddy-long legs that lost one of its long legs on a warm summer night. Unbeknownst to the group, a praying mantis is also hiding within the same cave where Maya and Willie have sought shelter with their friends.
