Meanwhile, substitute teacher Kaieda struggles to manage Futaba, who communicates via written notes due to a lost voice. On a hot day, Mitsuba makes extensive efforts to repair the air conditioner but fails due to her sweat and weight. Later, the class engages in a human curling contest during pool cleanup duties to determine which group must perform the cleaning tasks.
