Following the remarriage of Touma's father to Souichirou and Otomi's mother, the three teenagers become siblings. Touma and Souichirou share a mutual ambition to join the Meisei High School baseball team as a pitcher and catcher duo. However, their hopes are dashed when the coach, Kuroyanagi, selects Nikaidou for the ace position. This decision favors Nikaidou, who is the son of the alumni association president and the personal best friend of Coach Kuroyanagi, effectively sidelining the aspiring duo despite their shared dreams.
