Cheval and Lute depart independently to search for Avinia. Their journey leads them to Wakadoka Village, a settlement guarded by an elderly Rider named Talba. The locals greet Cheval with great warmth and hospitality. However, their peaceful arrival is threatened by the presence of Shadow, who is hiding nearby as part of the Ebon Riders. This encounter introduces a dangerous element to their quest, as the ninja lurks in the shadows while the travelers seek their missing companion.
