In 2015 AD, Angel assaults on Tokyo III escalate in intensity. Haruka Ishii, Izumi Taniguchi, and Ayako Matsuzawa are juniors at Tokyo III Municipal Junior High School No.1 who perform as the musical group Impacts on Nico Nama. They upload their final song, "A Sentimental Hunch," to Nico Nico Douga before Ayako evacuates the city to escape the danger. This departure forces the group to disband, leaving Haruka and Izumi to face a future apart. Haruka proposes a plan to Izumi as she realizes she will remain behind. Meanwhile, another Angel prepares to cause destruction in Tokyo III, threatening the lives of those who have not yet fled the area.
