On the night of the New Year, Rikichi visits Rantarou's room to request a favor. Yamada sensei has written his wish for a pleasant first dream on a piece of paper and placed it under his pillow. Rikichi is curious about the content of this note and wants to know exactly what Yamada sensei has written.
