While guiding Hama Shuichirou through the Academy's hilly back area, Kirimaru and Shinbei find themselves on the opposite side of the mountain. They encounter the Budget Committee, who are currently engaged in their stamina training. The committee president, Shioe, notices footprints on the road and decides to follow the trail left by the visitors. This encounter brings the students into contact with the budget-conscious group as they pursue the unknown path.
