While first-year Ha-class students are occupied with their laundry duties, sixth-year student Chouji walks past them. Chouji is recognized throughout the academy as the most stoic individual, yet he remains highly capable and reliable when serious work is required. Shouzaemon observes Chouji’s demeanor and conduct, concluding that he represents the ideal leader whom Shouzaemon should strive to emulate and learn from in his own development.
