Nodame advances to the final round but suffers from a fever caused by excessive practice, forcing her to race against time to memorize her pieces. Under intense pressure, she encounters Yuuto Segawa, a childhood colleague and former student of Hanazakura, which triggers repressed bad memories. Meanwhile, Chiaki manages a new violinist but attends the Maradona finals to watch Nodame and other competitors. The episode concludes with a cliffhanger as Nodame experiences a memory slip and stops playing in the middle of her final performance.
