In the year 22XX, a declining human population leads to the government allowing immigration from allied planets, resulting in new hybrid species with unique abilities. Yuuki discovers on his 18th birthday that his father is part of the "hero" tribe, while his mother belongs to a plant-manipulating tribe thought to be extinct due to planetary mechanization. Yuuki possesses powers from both lineages and struggles with which group to support. The film was scheduled for release on March 14 but was postponed due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.
