Chibita takes Karamatsu hostage to force the Matsuno brothers to settle their outstanding debt for his oden stand. He discovers that the brothers are indifferent to his captivity. Meanwhile, the family pet cat is injected with a special serum. This treatment grants the animal the ability to speak human language and read minds. The cat uses this power to reveal Ichimatsu's hidden true feelings to the household.
