Oz, Eliot, and Leo attempt to escort Ada back to the school. Eliot challenges Oz regarding his tendency to sacrifice himself for others, questioning if he has ever truly saved anyone through such actions. Lotti releases her Chain, Leon, which resembles a large lion wearing a crown. The Baskervilles capture Oz and his companions, triggering a battle. B. Rabbit and Jack Vessalius arrive at the scene. The narrative then shifts to Lotti’s memories of Jack Vessalius from over 100 years ago.
