During a school field trip to a television station, Ren, Ryuji, and Ann cross paths with the renowned high school detective Goro Akechi while he is filming a program. The trio grows uneasy when Akechi brings up the Phantom Thieves in conversation. Simultaneously, an individual within Shujin Academy starts investigating the true intentions behind Ren and his friends' actions, adding tension to their situation.
