On his way to school, Kaito finds a Fool's Puzzle set up within the Root Academy. He successfully solves the challenge by accelerating his brain waves, even though he no longer possesses the Armband of Orpheus. At the same time, Tamaki Chieno encounters a strange man who gives her an unusual earring. These separate events unfold as the characters navigate their daily routines while dealing with unexpected supernatural occurrences and mysterious gifts that hint at deeper secrets surrounding the academy and its students.
