Assisted by Hoshi and Yumiki from the MPD, Mirai and Saki search for remaining God candidates after acquaintances of the middle school-aged Nakaumi brothers die in succession. Suspecting one brother is a candidate, they visit the Nakaumi family home and encounter an unexpected scene. Mirai tries to persuade the younger brother, Shuji Nakaumi, but he remains stubborn and resistant to their arguments. This confrontation forces Mirai to confront the difficult question of what true happiness means, adding a philosophical layer to their ongoing investigation into the identities of the other candidates.
