Ash and his companions look into a series of unexplained thefts. Their investigation leads them to a group of Houndour that are fighting to survive in the wild environment. To assist the creatures in changing their behavior, Ash must first establish a bond and gain their confidence. The narrative focuses on the interaction between the trainer and the wild Pokémon as he attempts to resolve the situation through trust rather than force.
