The Alola Pokémon League reaches the 16-competitor stage with several key matches. Ash faces Faba, where Pikachu allows Meltan to secure the victory against Faba's Hypno. Ilima battles Guzma; despite Kangaskhan undergoing Mega Evolution, it falters and loses to Guzma's Scizor. Hau's Raichu defeats Principal Oak's Exeggutor by utilizing superior speed. In the final match, Lana competes against Mallow. Although Mallow nearly quits due to falling behind, Lana encourages her to persevere. Mallow and Tsareena successfully execute their first Z-Move, leading to a win for Lana and Primarina. Mallow remains happy for her friend despite the loss.
