Following a long journey, Eevee reaches Alola and bonds with Pikachu and other Pokémon, but soon feels lonely and searches for new friends. It spots Popplio with Lana and follows them, only to be pursued by an Alolan Persian. Popplio intervenes to help, but the situation escalates when Team Skull grunts also spot Eevee and fight over it. Ash and the gang arrive to rescue Eevee from the conflict. After being saved, Eevee chooses Lana as its trainer and partner, earning the nickname Sandy from her. This sequence highlights Eevee's integration into the group and its specific bond with Lana amidst the various interruptions caused by local wildlife and the antagonistic Team Skull members.
