Qiang Niang

A narrative centers on Carrie, who has lost her combat memories and seeks to understand her identity and a past "Awakening." Between 2025 and 2030, a global war has killed half the population, and human control over the conflict has diminished. Warfare has evolved into an automated contest involving lasers, drones, AI, and unmanned weapons. Amid this, a group of young women fight using traditional firearms—these are the Gun Girls. A cosmic life-form, evading capture, merged with an M4A1 rifle in a weapons warehouse. The rifle was eventually acquired by a young man in a military compound, who nurtured and cared for it. The life-form, moved by his care, transformed into a human girl, whom he named Carrie. When powerful nations learned of Carrie, they sought to control her, leading to the young man's death in her defense. Subsequent human research on Carrie led to technological breakthroughs and the space age. This progress sparked a new global conflict as major nations vied for dominance.
