Opening with a line about the first faint sunlight stirring the edges of shallow sleep just as graffiti appears, this is the second entry in the Bungaku Video project, a collaboration between modern Japanese literature and animation. It draws on the 1999 poem Rakugaki by Makoto Takayanagi, later collected in the 2001 novel Yumeyume Waseruru Nakare. The film premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 10, 2025, screening in the official Off-Limits category, where it went on to win the Off-Limits Award.
