Ep. 1: Madoka reunites with Lan to pilot Midori against Muginami's attack on Pharos

Madoka Kyouno attends a career counseling session with Machiko Iwabuchi while reflecting on her battle from a year ago. Meanwhile, Dizelmine and Moid conduct experiments on Lan inside Orca at a space station. Muginami, piloting Hupo, leads De Metrio Ovids to attack the station, forcing Lan and the Le Garite army to retreat. The next day, Kirius, Izo, and Array serve customers at Hiroshi Nakaizumi's Be With Hiroshi restaurant, while Madoka saves a drowning girl. After discussing aliens and career planning with Sachi Nogami and Michi Kondou, Madoka wonders when Lan and Muginami will return to Kamogawa. Pharos arrives for an intergalactic conference, prompting Madoka to reunite with Lan. Lan takes Madoka to Pharos so she can pilot Midori again. Muginami approaches to stop this, but Lan engages her in battle, believing Muginami intends to kill Madoka. Madoka objects and activates Midori to join the fight.
