Robot Carnival

Nine Japanese animators contributed individual short segments centered on the theme of robots, compiled into a single film. Each segment is self-contained and explores different aspects of human-robot interactions, particularly the outcomes of creating artificial life. The nine stories vary in tone and approach, offering distinct perspectives on the relationship between humans and their mechanical counterparts. Each is directed by a different animator, with some collaborations, including co-directions by Atsuko Fukushima and Katsuhiro Otomo for the opening and closing segments.
