Blake Belladonna assists Adam Taurus in stealing from a Schnee Dust Company freight train but departs due to his cruelty and White Fang tactics. She chooses to enroll at Beacon Academy for a new beginning. Meanwhile, Weiss Schnee defeats a Grimm inhabiting a giant armor suit to demonstrate her combat skills to her father Jacques, securing her place at Beacon instead of Atlas Academy despite sustaining a scar. Upon learning that her older half-sister Yang Xiao Long has been accepted, Ruby Rose shops for a gift and intervenes in a robbery orchestrated by criminal Roman Torchwick. She is arrested by Glynda Goodwitch for vigilantism, but Professor Ozpin recognizes her potential and grants her permission to attend Beacon two years early.
