Ep. 21: Sorata and Nanami share their failures in the rain while Mashiro faces an invitation

Life proceeds smoothly for the Sakura-sou residents until a rainy day disrupts the routine. Sorata comforts Nanami, who breaks down crying during a lesson after failing an exam, and escorts her to the nurse's office. Meanwhile, Sorata receives a call from Fujisawa informing him that his game proposal has been rejected, causing him to despair despite her encouragement. When Sorata cannot find Nanami at the clinic, he locates her outside in the rain. They confront their respective failures, venting their frustrations before embracing to comfort one another, a moment witnessed by Mashiro. Later, Sorata discovers that Mashiro has received a job invitation from a game company. This news causes him distress and leads Mashiro to question if she is responsible for their struggles, prompting her decision to leave the dormitory to protect them.
