Rachel regains consciousness in an unknown facility after a counseling visit, informed by an intercom that she is the designated sacrifice for upper-floor residents. She ascends from floor B7 to B6, where she narrowly escapes a bandaged, scythe-wielding man. On floor B5, she meets Danny, who claims to be her doctor but reveals an obsession with her eyes and plans to imprison her. Danny’s revelation that her parents are dead triggers Rachel’s memories. The scythe-wielding man then kills Danny for violating floor rules, becoming the new sacrifice. As the elevator seals, Rachel approaches the man and requests he kill her, deciding she does not deserve to live.
