Dec 18, 1998Gene, Jim, and Melfina accept a contract from an elderly man to recover a shipment of dragonite ore from a vessel that crashed on the water planet Heifong VII. Their mission triggers a confrontation with the creature guarding the wreckage and its valuable cargo. After successfully loading the dragonite ore onto their own ship, the old man makes the ultimate sacrifice by offering himself to the creature. This selfless act allows the crew to escape the planet safely, concluding their dangerous retrieval operation.

A side story features Kei Pirate Tobigera, who repeatedly fails to assassinate Gene.
