Sekai Meisaku Douwa: Aladdin to Mahou no Lamp

The film closely follows the original story, including minor details, with the exception of a kangaroo-rat introduced twenty minutes in, which accompanies Aladdin without contributing to the plot. Akira Miyazaki, known for writing several classic WMT series films, wrote the screenplay. Yukihide Takekawa, notable for composing the music in the Unico pilot film, also worked on this project. The narrative becomes somewhat disjointed during Aladdin's interactions with the princess. While the lavish animation typical of Toei's 1960s films is absent, the movie remains above average due to its faithful adaptation. The character designs have a more Western appearance than typical in anime.
