A typical student named Norio begins receiving unexpected romantic interest after a chance encounter with an attractive man following a fall down the stairs. This event leads to the revelation of a hidden society composed of individuals who evolved from animals other than monkeys. Norio learns he is a rare member of this group, making his DNA highly valuable. As a result, he becomes a target and must work to survive in this new reality. The narrative centers on a high school student who finds out he belongs to a unique subset of humans with animal-based evolution, including species like leopards and black bears.
