Soma arrives at the Polar Star Dormitory with high expectations, but finds the building to be creepy and run-down. He is immediately informed by the dorm warden, Daimido Fumio, that his residence is conditional upon his ability to impress her with his cooking skills. Soma accepts this challenge and rises to the occasion to prove his worth and secure his place at the dormitory.
