Aldini brothers face cultural clash and food battle at downtown restaurant

Between seasons, the Aldini brothers visit a skyscraper alongside Alice, Ryou, and most Polar Star Dormitory students, excluding Souma. They reunite with Megumi, Ryoko, and Yoshino for lunch at a traditional Japanese restaurant. When Isami orders cheese with rice, an elderly man criticizes the Aldini brothers for disregarding Japanese culture. Takumi challenges him to a food battle. The old man’s nostalgic dish lacks the skill of the Aldini brothers' cooking. He admits Takumi reminds him of his daughter’s blonde foreign fiancé, whom he strongly opposed. Following the confrontation, the brothers return home after a long day.

Erina visits a public pool with Alice while Polar Star Dormitory residents seek relief from summer heat.

Set prior to the second season and the Autumn Elections Preliminaries, Erina lacks plans after finishing her daily schedule early. Alice accompanies her to a public pool, where she observes Erina’s embarrassment over wearing an old coat and a bathing suit in public, as well as her admission of admiration for someone. Alice attempts to explain love to Erina, despite lacking personal experience with the concept. Ultimately, Erina chooses to concentrate on perfecting her cooking rather than understanding love. Concurrently, the residents of Polar Star Dormitory struggle with intense summer heat and election stress. After several unsuccessful attempts to cool down, the boys, including the Aldini brothers and Ikumi, lead them to a cool stream for shaved ice and a barbecue. Meanwhile, Jun nearly succumbs to heat stroke until Hayama provides her with cold porridge and soup.
