Mahmut formulates a scheme to assassinate the sultans during the wedding of Orhan, the Kuluch Sultanlu prens. This plot is discovered by Torqye, who dispatches Saluja Pasha to represent the Thirteen Pashas in his stead. However, Saluja secretly maintains loyalty to the four sultans. Consequently, he betrays the conspiracy by leaking the details of Mahmut's plan to Balaban. This act of treachery threatens to expose the assassination attempt before it can be executed, altering the political dynamics surrounding the royal union and the safety of the ruling sultans.
