Following the fall of Landsbruck's capital, Izetta and the princess flee into the mountains to escape imperial pursuit. Seig approaches Izetta with a proposal to provide the other half of Sophie's magic stone. This powerful artifact allows the user to fight on equal footing against Germania's witch. However, utilizing this item inflicts severe pain on the user and significantly reduces their lifespan, presenting a costly trade-off for the strength needed to survive the ongoing conflict.
