Greek gods approach Apollo, their next selected combatant. Meanwhile, Brunhilde and Göll enter a Spartan waiting room to recruit King Leonidas. He initially refuses but changes his mind when Brunhilde reveals Apollo as his opponent and activates Volundr with Valkyrie Geirölul. Leonidas attacks prematurely, prompting Apollo to mock him while effortlessly dodging every strike. Leonidas expresses deep resentment toward Apollo, citing events from 480 B.C. When the Spartan Elder council banned military defense against Xerxes and the Persians due to an Apollo festival and oracle decree, despite younger councilors' objections, Leonidas's hatred was solidified.
