Following a battle with an evolved Chaos, Sonic pursues Eggman into an aerial confrontation aboard the Egg Carrier. The X-Tornado is destroyed during the engagement, resulting in a crash. Concurrently, Amy Rose discovers a small bird that had fallen from the Egg Carrier. While attending to the bird, she is captured by Eggman's robot, E-100. The events depict the immediate aftermath of the air battle and Amy's unexpected capture while interacting with the fallen creature.
