Ep. 23: Stein battles Medusa while Kid and Black Star confront Free and Eruka at the kishin shrine.

Stein strives to end his fight with Medusa swiftly, but she prolongs the conflict, creating a stalemate. Simultaneously, Kid and Black Star arrive at the shrine where the kishin rests, encountering Free and Eruka. Kid holds off Free while Black Star pursues Eruka, who attempts to inject black blood into the sleeping kishin using a syringe. Black Star makes a final effort to destroy the syringe before the injection occurs, believing he has succeeded. However, this victory is revealed to be a hallucination caused by the kishin's madness wavelength. Meanwhile, Stein defeats Medusa, who expresses joy, but her death fails to stop the awakening of the kishin Asura.
