Takako Adachi is discovered deceased within Sayoko's home by her cousin Kei. Ayumu and Hiyono proceed to the location to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. They uncover that Takako was murdered because she was operating as an undercover agent for the Hunters. The true perpetrator is identified as the housekeeper, Reiko Hatsuyama. Reiko admits to killing Takako to protect Sayoko, who is revealed to be a Blade Child. Additionally, Reiko is confirmed to be the individual responsible for the attack on Sonobe that occurred in the first episode.
