Spirit of Wonder: Shounen Kagaku Club

A group of elderly men, once part of the Scientific Boys Club, construct a vessel intended to journey to Mars using the "Ethereal Current," a concept proposed by one member's wife about energy permeating the universe. They aim to validate an earlier hypothesis regarding Martian structures, believing them to be evidence of past intelligent life. Their mission, however, yields no signs of life. Decades later, a Mars expedition uncovers a stone marked with the words "Scientific Boys Club 1954," suggesting their long-ignored theories may have had some basis in reality.
