Saikawa meets Miki, who is the sister of Dr. Magata, and observes that Dr. Magata's unique mental state has remained exactly the same as it was during his childhood years. At the same time, Moe participates in a virtual reality experience facilitated by Shimada, a member of the institute's staff. During this simulation, a mysterious voice compels her to confront and face her own past.
