Sumiko

An 8-year-old girl lives in a Tokyo suburb and is known in the area for her popularity. She spends much of her time at a nearby ramen shop where her mother works. Her father, a truck driver who is frequently away, takes her to a local karaoke venue when he is home, allowing her to sing songs she enjoys. She aspires to become a famous singer in the future.
