Ep. 10: Kirito faces Heathcliff and survives a Laughing Coffin ambush before proposing to Asuna

Kirito fights Heathcliff in a crowded arena, where the opponent’s Divine Blade skill leads to Kirito’s defeat. Asuna questions his guild aversion, prompting Kirito to share his trauma regarding the Midnight Black Cats, after which she promises protection. Later, Kirito accompanies Godfree and Kuradeel to the 55th floor dungeons for an assessment. During a break, Kirito and Godfree are paralyzed by poisoned water. Kuradeel reveals his Laughing Coffin affiliation and kills Godfree before attacking Asuna, who tracked them via her map. Kirito intervenes, killing Kuradeel to save Asuna. Following these events, Kirito visits Asuna’s residence and proposes marriage to her.
