Tabako to Hai

In 2000, Dreamworks Film Corp., led by Spielberg, produced "Chicken Run" in collaboration with Nick Park, a renowned clay-animation artist, which became a major success. The film features a chicken as the protagonist, with a narrative reminiscent of "The Great Escape." Thirty-five years earlier, Mushi Production released an animated short where a chicken also played the central role, depicting a conflict between the oppressed and the oppressors that eventually led to a large-scale war. Despite its brief runtime of three minutes, the piece effectively portrayed the cyclical nature of war through imaginative and exaggerated storytelling, showcasing the unique strengths of short-form animation.
